4/14/2008 – The New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA), a state-wide organization providing resources and community connections for speech-language pathologists and audiologists, has launched a new full-service online Career Center.
The Career Center focuses on assisting job seekers in the communication sciences and can be found on the NYSSLHA website at http://careers.nysslha.org. NYSSLHA knows how hard it is for employers to find top quality speech-language pathologists and audiologists and for those professionals to find the right employers. The new Career Center connects professionals in their search to find the right career fit.
The Career Center includes a Job Alert system that notifies job seekers by email of new job opportunities that match their search criteria and an Anonymous Resume Bank feature that enables job seekers to list their experience and qualifications in a protected environment. By giving both active and passive job seekers the ability to anonymously post their resumes, this service allows job seekers to stay connected to the employment market while maintaining full control of their confidential information. In return, employers have the option to pay only for the resumes that are a good fit for their job opportunity with the Pay-Per-Resume feature.
The New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) has served as the trade association for the state’s speech-language pathologists and audiologists since 1950. To learn more about NYSSLHA, visit www.nysslha.org.
