NYSSLHA is committed to supporting ongoing learning within our professional community. Through webinars and other educational opportunities coordinated by NYSSLHA board members, we provide accessible programming that highlights emerging research, clinical strategies, and topics relevant to professionals across New York State.


These webinars are offered free to NYSSLHA members as part of our mission to promote professional growth, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the field.




Our Webinars are hosted on Zoom 


NYSSLHA hosts all of its webinars using Zoom, a free and easy-to-use video conferencing platform. Whether you're joining from a computer, tablet, or smartphone, Zoom makes it simple to attend our professional development sessions from anywhere.

How to Join a  NYSSLHA Webinar on Zoom

There are two easy ways to enter the meeting, use whichever is easiest for you!

Option A: Click the meeting link

  1. Open the confirmation email you received from NYSSLHA after registering. Look for a blue clickable link that says something like "Click here to join the meeting" or "Zoom Meeting link." 
  2. Click that link. Your web browser will open and Zoom will launch automatically. If a pop-up appears asking you to "Open Zoom" or "Join from Browser," click either one, both will work. 
  3. You may be asked to enter your name. Type your first and last name and click Join. 

Option B: Enter the Meeting ID and Password Manually

  1. Open your web browser and go to zoom.us/join or open the Zoom app on your computer or device if you have it installed. 
  2. In your confirmation email, look for the Meeting ID (for example: 869 3293 1908). Type that number into the box and click Join. 
  3. You will then be asked for a Password. Find the password in the same confirmation email and type it in, then click Join Meeting. 
  4. Enter your name when prompted and click Join. 

Helpful tips

  • We recommend joining 5–10 minutes early to make sure everything is working before the webinar begins. 
  • You do not need to create a Zoom account to join, just click the link or enter the Meeting ID. 
  • Make sure your computer or device sound is turned on so you can hear the presenter.
